Unspoken is made by Soleo Technologies, operating from Austin, Texas, United States. Unspoken is a prayer app — a quiet place for prayers, a private journal, and a community Prayer Wall. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Unspoken app and the getunspoken.com website, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: your prayers are yours, we collect only what the service needs, and we never sell your data.
Account information. Your email address, an optional name, and authentication identifiers when you sign in with Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In.
Your content. The prayers, journal entries, prayer requests, and Prayer Wall posts you create. This is the heart of the app, and we treat it accordingly.
Usage analytics. Screen views, feature usage, and session data, collected through Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-02HQ0LBP9S) and, in the native mobile apps, Firebase Analytics. Our website also uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site.
Subscription data. Purchase status, trial status, and renewal state, managed through RevenueCat. Payment itself is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store — Soleo Technologies never receives or stores your payment card details.
Device information. Device type, operating system version, app version, IP address, general location (country or region only — never precise location), and language preference.
Crash and error data. Technical reports that help us find and fix problems.
Email signups. If you join our waitlist or download a guide from our website, we collect the email address you provide, managed through MailerLite, our email service provider.
We do not use your prayers or journal entries for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your prayers, journal entries, and personal information are deleted from our systems, except for limited records we are legally required to keep or need to resolve disputes, which are deleted when no longer needed.
Aggregated analytics that no longer identify you may be retained.
To exercise any of these rights, use the app's settings or write to laura@getunspoken.com. We respond to every request.
If you are in the EEA, Soleo Technologies, Austin, Texas, United States, is the data controller for your information.
Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (providing the app you signed up for), legitimate interests (improving and securing the service), and consent (analytics cookies and marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time).
You have the rights described in section 5, and additionally the right to object to or restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect (section 1), the right to request its deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.
Soleo Technologies does not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will never discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
Unspoken is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, write to laura@getunspoken.com.
Unspoken is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed there. If you use the app from elsewhere, you understand that your data is transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from your country's.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but the private nature of what you write in Unspoken is exactly why we take this seriously.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make a material change, we will notify you through the app or by email before it takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
